Alcudia has its sights set on becoming Mallorca’s top leisure craft resort

ALCUDIA has its sights set on becoming Majorca’s top leisure craft resort at a time when it is adding its name to the network of prime boating marinas listed by Spain’s holiday promotional vehicle, Turespaña.

The national agency already has on its books 25 municipalities around the country which provide outstanding sailing and boating facilities both in terms of quality and quantity. Five of these include the Balearic districts of Mahon, Fornells, Ciutadella, Santa Eulalia and Sant Antoni.

Turespaña’s marketing initiatives have recently focused on attracting holidaymakers to a combination of prime accommodation and boating availability in a drive to extend the tourist season and provide competition against other holiday destinations which offer cheaper alternatives.
